My first day in Thailand

This is my first day in Thailand and what an eye opener it was lol.

I get up early and just walk around Nana to see whats going on. The contrast
between filth and wealth is a bit shocking. There are a lot of traps for
tourists who are stupid. Walk into the wrong store and the prices are 20x what
they are just once block down the street.

One tip is DON'T try and catch a cab in front of a Farang hotel. They give you
insane quotes. 200 baht to drive 5 blocks for example. Just insane! It
should be 50 at BEST!

Some of the stores are traps too. If you DON'T see a price for something you
should assume that its some insane amount. I got nailed once.. don't want to
talk about it. Needless to say by the time I walked out of the store I realize
I was screwed. It was a small item so I wasn't too worried. I just hate being
taken like a sucker.

Went to the Emporium mall. Lame. Went to Pantip plaza since I though the
warez scene would be funny. Lame too. It was annoying having all the Thai men
barking at me trying to sell me porn.

Went to get a traditional Thai massage next to Nana. 300 baht for 1 hour. Very
nice.

After that I went to the Landmark to get a quote for the next couple of days.
They wanted $150 US a night. They must think I'm INSANE! I assume its because
I'm a Farang. It WAS a nice hotel but those are INSANE prices. I mean by San
Francisco standards it would be $150 a night. Its about 1000x as much as it
should be in Thai baht.

Went to a pool bar across the street. Hot chick standing next to the computer
that I was surfing. Asked her to play pool.

KILLER hot bod. I was dying! She didn't speak any english really. More than
my Thai. I really need to brush up! I just suck. I'm going to have to get a
phrase book and practice.

Anyway... two games of pool and I barfine and short time her. 500b for the bf
and 1000b for the short time. I'm working on talking them down.

She was HOT though. Really tight. Perfect short time. I wish I had known
more thai though.

The nights still young though. Its only like 7:00. I figure I'll try to
recharge for a bit... get some food... and try to hunt down a long time for
tonight.

Need to find out about my reservation.

Went out to Patpong that night. Was less than impressed. Not very
sophisticated and too crowded with the stalls from the markets. I still think I
want to visit Soi Cowboy but I'll probably go out later tonight and try taking
the sky train.

Went into this club and barfined a chick dancing on the bar. After giving her
the eye for about 2 minutes she comes down and sits next to me. I order a drink
and soon after the waitresses start suggesting that I take her and fuck her.
Which was a bit offensive but honestly thats what I had on my mind.

They were just vultures. 500bht for the barfine and 2000 short time. I
convince them to 3000bht long time. They then start demanding each for tips.
I'm used to San Francisco prices and REALLY need to assert that things become
cheaper. This vacation was supposed to SAVE me money not cost me!

The girl was just OK... we rode the sky train back and she was boring in bed.
Not worth the money I think.

The next day she wanted 3000bht and a TIP! WTF! 3000 is enough! Very
annoying.

I'm going to need to get more picky about what I take. The problem is that I
have on comparison for pricing so I don't really feel like I'm being fucked.

For reference this was only ~ $60 US. Minimum prices for an escort in SF are
$300 for 1 hour so either way its pretty good.

I wish I spoke more thai. I'd like to barfine

I could get them down cheaper though... $60 is too expensive.
